LYNSEY FLEETWOOD FOR PROSECUTOR

VISION &
PRIORITIES

Jackson County deserves a prosecutor who shares its values—faith, family, freedom, and law and order. Lynsey believes the voices of hardworking citizens matter, and so do their concerns. Whether it’s holding repeat offenders accountable, keeping drugs off our streets, or standing up for victims, her priorities are guided by the belief that justice must be firm, fair, and unwavering. She will listen to our community, take decisive action, and ensure Jackson County remains a safe and principled place to live, work, and raise a family.

LAW & ORDER

Lynsey will continue working with local, state, and federal partners, including ICE, to ensure Jackson County is not a safe haven for those who break our immigration and criminal laws. She’s committed to  putting the safety of our community first.

SUPPORTING LAW ENFORCEMENT

By prioritizing training, communication, and coordination with law enforcement, Lynsey will make sure officers have the tools they need to build strong cases, leading to higher conviction rates and real justice for victims.

TRUST AND

ACCOUNTABILITY

As a career prosecutor here in Jackson County, Lynsey knows this office must be consistent and transparent. She’s already begun rebuilding confidence in the office and is committed to leading with integrity and professionalism every day.

MEET LYNSEY

Jackson County Prosecutor | Wife | Mother | Conservative Leader

Lynsey Fleetwood was born and raised a Hoosier, the daughter of David and Karen Hoeft of Lawrence. Growing up with three brothers in a Christian household, she learned early the value of resilience, responsibility, and standing her ground, traits that have served her well in the courtroom and in life.

Driven and determined, Lynsey graduated high school in 2015, a year ahead of schedule, and went on to pursue her dream of working in criminal justice. She attended Purdue University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Law and Society. While she considered becoming a probation officer or even working in immigration enforcement, her heart led her to law school in the Fall of 2019, where her true calling became clear: she wanted to become a prosecutor.

During law school, she met her husband, Colton, also an attorney and the owner of the Law Office of Fleetwood Markel LLC and Jackson County Title Company. The two shared a vision of raising their family in Colton's hometown of Brownstown, grounded in faith, hard work, and community, where they live with their 10-month-old daughter, Mabel, and their dog, Benji.

Lynsey began her career as a deputy prosecutor at the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office in 2022. From day one, she knew she was exactly where she belonged — standing up for victims, seeking justice, and protecting the people of Jackson County. In June 2025, she was honored to be caucused in as Prosecuting Attorney, and she’s now running to earn a full term for the office she’s always dreamed of holding.

With a deep commitment to law and order, a strong belief in conservative values, and a heart rooted in public service, Lynsey Fleetwood is ready to continue delivering justice with integrity, with courage, and with Jackson County at the center of it all.
